ほほう、ハンザ同盟で交易都市として栄えて頑丈な石製の高い城壁を建設して都市を守れるほどだったけど、戦争と海賊襲撃で没落してしまったのか。二つ名が「廃墟の都市」だったのもすごいなあ。城壁を超えた発展できなかったけど寧ろ復興した方なんだね。
メニューを開くWhen the Visby city walls were built in 13th and 14th century, the city was thriving due to the Hanseatic League and trade connections. But wars and piracy ruined it in 15th century. It has become known as "The City of Ruins", retaining its original medieval character.
