Japanese cherries are called さくらんぼ (sakuranbo) and are usually more orange/light red, whereas Western ones (the dark red ones) are referred to as チェリー (cherii). These guys here are さくらんぼ from my 庭(にわ niwa, garden) and I am looking forward to eating them! 楽しみ pic.twitter.com/omjRYWsYFK
