Make an "M" shape with 3 straws as shown.
To connect one straw to another, cut one end into a point.

Seal around the edges with tape or modeling clay.
Fill your tall container to the top with water and place it next to your small container.
Quickly place the siphon into the water.
If you get air bubbles in the straw, you have a leak in one of your seals.
If you see air bubbles, try re- applying tape or using modeling clay.
