2017/10/19TOP 5 GAMES AS VOTED BY YOU
ELVIES
If I were to create another game, I'd take a different approach; more pragmatic and perhaps less personal.
One: Be honest about your skills and seek out others who can help fill the gaps -I know that my strengths are art, game design, and music. I struggle with programming, so I am always looking for people to help me build the games that I am designing. If you try to take on all of it. it can be really overwhelming.
Two: Join game jams, but don't worry about the results-One thing I really appreciate about jams is the time frame. It gets me motivated to stick to a hard deadline...even if I still enter at the very last minute and have technical problems! It's stressful, but it is good practice to see what you can do in a particular amount of time.
Connecting with other devs can be really fun!! love to send Twitter DMs to devs with more experience and knowledge to learn from them and get their feedback. I'm always searching through Twitter to find interested devs, who would like to team up for small game jams or just to have a nice chat. It is really refreshing to talk to other devs and get to know their story. We are all here to make games, so let's learn from each other and have a great time together!
