Outro
Our train today consists of 2x TGV Duplex double-decker sets which are capable of 320km/h or 200mph.
However, the maximum line speed for our trip today will be 300km/h or 186mph.
Luggage racks are provided at the ends of the coaches, as are these green Poubellator's (bins). There is no luggage storage above the seats.
As for the seats themselves, They're reasonably well padded & comfortable, have movable armrests, but no recline function. The facing seats have a fixed table, with extendable flaps.
Let's check out our route today...
Let's check out the toilets. The upstairs one was out of service in this coach.
We spend much of the journey at, or close to our top speed of 300km/h or 186mph.
And I must say, the ride is smooth and quiet. It's very impressive.
In conclusion, I was impressed with Ouigo. Yes, it's a very different experience than on a normal TGV, but then you don't buy a Ryanair ticket, expecting Emirates service!
All things considered though, I would recommend Ouigo as a great value way to travel in France. They are soon to start services in Spain too, and I can't wait to try these out!
