What to expect from an OMT visit? • A history about the problem for which you were referred • A physical exam to screen for areas of dysfunction • An individualized treatment based on those findings that can include various stretches, targeted movements, pressure, or resistance to help re-align the body, decrease tension, and hopefully improve pain and ROM. • An individualized exercise prescription plan
How do I get an OMT appointment? • If your health care provider is a DO, ask if they do manipulation or know a provider who does. • Ask your health care provider for a referral.
