Polycarbonate Glazing Tips
Today's Topic is Why Is There a Film on Polycarbonate Sheets?
There are 2 reasons for this film.
First reason is to protect the polycarbonate sheets from scratching.
The film should be left on during transport and while you are cutting the sheets.
The film on the UV protected side will be marked as this side towards the sun.
If you do not put the UV protected side to the sun your sheets will not last.
The film should not be taken off until the sheets are installed. You should pull the film back at the edges and only remove once the sheets are in place.
Once you remove the protective film you will not be able to tell which side is UV protected.
Sheets should be stored in a cool location with a cover.
